Choose Canvas or Paper
Watercolor Paper is a thick, textured paper. Christy uses 100lb cold press archival paper. You will have to frame this to protect and hang. She can give advice on framing but that is easier for you to do locally. (suggested for 5" x 7" and 8" x 10" sizes) Watercolor Canvas starts at 3/4" thick & can be 1 1/2" on the larger canvases. (standard is 3/4"). The painting is finished with a Clear UV protective spray lacquer & ready to hang. You can frame with an open back frame, but it is not necessary.
Painting and Proof
Christy may want to send sketches to make sure pose is correct but most of the time she just goes for it. You will be able to tell her what background colors you prefer, collar color, toys, nametag - any embellishments.
